Ready to look like you just stepped out of a magazine on your wedding day? Let's dive into recreating Sofia Richie's stunning, dewy look from her South of France wedding. A perfect look for a Tampa Elegant Wedding.
Start With Your Skin
Sofia Richie’s makeup game is all about that flawless, glowing skin. She keeps it fresh, minimal, and oh-so-glowy. To get that dreamy look, you’ve got to start with a rock-solid skincare routine and stick to it religiously.
Just like an artist needs a perfect canvas, you need your skin to be smooth and hydrated for that seamless makeup application. In addition to being a professional makeup artist, I can help you to find the right products perfect for you. Take a quiz and get a customized skin routine.
A Glowy Base
Sofia’s wedding day makeup started with a lightweight base. Think a tinted moisturizer, BB or CC cream, or a radiant primer under your favorite foundation. Us Florida girlies know that for a long lasting effect we need a pinch more staying powering. For a long lasting effect I like to use a medium coverage dewy foundation, like Makeup Forever HD Skin Glow or Haus Labs Tricolne Skin Tech Foundation. Just enough to cover up any blemishes and keep the look elegant and pretty. That’s the vibe we’re going for!
Adding Dimension
Next, add some dimension with a light bronzer. Sofia used Nudestix, a perfect choice since she’s the brand’s first-ever Beauty Director. It’s all about creating a natural, sun-kissed glow. Cream Bronzers are great for dehydrated skin and can be layered with powders for a long lasting wear.
Blush, Blush, Blush
Makeup Artist Patti Dubroff used Nudestix’s coral-toned cream blush stick in Picante toadd that perfect pop of color. A cream blush will allow the skin to look like skin and can be layered for dimension and a long wearing look.
Enhance Your Glow with Highlighter
No dewy look is complete without highlighter. You can use a cream stick, or liquid highlighter on the high points of your face and under your brow bones to illuminate & glow from within. It’s all about enhancing that natural glow and looking absolutely radiant.
Create a Neutral Look on Your Eyelids
For her eyes, Sofia opted for a barely there subtle shimmer. I like to start with a light brown nuetral shade in the eye socket to add definition to every look. She has sheer layer of gold shimmer on the base of her lid. pretty, understated, and perfect for a simplistic bridal look.
Set Your Base with Powder
Setting your makeup with powder is essential! Especially when you're getting married somewhere hot and humid, like Tampa Bay Florida. This requires the T-zone to be powdered and face to be set with a long wearing setting mist. I gift all my brides with a touch up kit which includes oil blotting sheets and a sample of loose powder to keep any shine at bay, ensuring my brides makeup stays flawless all day long.
Lashes or Mascara?
For subtly I recommend more than just mascara alone. I add individual lashes to the eyes to give a doe-eyed effect, coated with Waterproof Mascara. Trust me you will not be disappointed.
A Pink Pouty Lip
To tie everything together, Sofia finished with a pretty pink lip. Her go-to? Chanel’s 928 Pink Delight Rouge Cocoa Baume. We can decide during you trial on which shade and tone of pink is best for your skin tone. Matte, Satin, or Glossy the world is your oyster.
