My Ultimate Workout Playlist

Listen, I only know of two ways to get your dream body – diet and exercise or learn how to Photoshop. I dont know about you but I want to look good naked. It’s been about 10 years that I’ve been trying to achieve this goal. But this time feels different. Something was holding me back. Something inside kept allowing me to make excuses here and there. I’m not saying that I am fat or even an unhealthy person. I’m quite healthy and just a little overweight truly. I would always say to myself, ” I’m either working out or eating healthy, because I shouldnt have to do both. That’s not fair.” Total bullshit! That’s the excuse I told myself for years. So now I’m gonna put it to the test. I’m sure I’m not the only person who is sick of saying ” one day, I’ll …” So buckle up, because this ride could get bumpy. If you follow me on snapchat (jack-aholic) you already know. I hope that I can inspire you to get up and grab life by the balls, because if you don’t someone else will.

This is your moment! You are about to kill your workout and feel incredible, because hello free endorphins. So I have carefully put together My Ulitimate Workout Playlist. Every song has a purpose, and is in its particular order for a reason. Now feel free to hit the shuffle button, but if you want to just let the music move you through your workout simply hit play. Click Here to download from iTunes!

It’s time to warm up, and you want to feel from the get go that your a boss bitch. Ice cube said it, “Today was a good day.” What are you going to do today thats gonna be better? Who do you want to be? What are doing? Are you really living? Because just going through the motions isn’t gonna cut it. Not at the gym and not out there in the real world. Now your on track 2. Absorb the message, “I’ve been traveling down this road too long, trying find my way back home. The old me’s dead and gone, dead and gone.” You can’t change the past so don’t waste time looking back on what used to be. It’s not gonna get you to where you can be.

Maybe its because I’m Type A or maybe its a sagittarius thing but I have a lot of energy and I love to pump that music and let it just push me through my cardio. These next 3 songs are perfect for a quick 10 minute cardio burn. I prefer to start my gym workout this way to warm up my muscles before I hit the weights. Kickboxing, jump rope, the stair master – If your out of breath your on the right track. Bruno, Jenny, and Mariah they’ve got your back.

Weights and I were casual aquintances before, but were gonna be best friends now. Since you need weights to burn fat. I will be pumping these babies. Your gonna need some sick beats and motivating lyrics. Dont worry don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. I have set up 12 songs for you that are going to help you get it right, get it tight! “All I do is win”, comes on and you can not, not feel like a rockstar. Are you kidding me? It would not be an ultimate playlist without this gym favorite. I know you guys will really enjoy these songs and they will give you that extra boost to kill it.

You did it! I knew you could. You are amazing! Drink some water, catch your breath. You deserve it. Zara Larsson is about to slow it all down, I first heard this song on Grey’s Anatomy and loved it ever since. There’s nothing like a good stretch to really help you from being crippled the next day. I choose this next song, “Rise Up” because it is uplifting beyond belief. Her voice will let your mind drift and think about your intention for the whole day and what you want to make of it.  Mrs. Alicia Keys brings it on home next. I finished you off with Coldplay, you’re welcome. There’s nothing I love more than an epic song at the end of an incredible movie, so I had to give it to you. There’s no way I can listen to this song without getting chills and getting emotional. Go get your self a protein shake, I’ll see you tomorrow.

xoxo Jackie

Jackie, you are an amazing and beautiful soul! Thank you for being such a light and inspiration – it has definitely helped me because I, too, have struggled with this for years. Finding the motivation to get my body moving is HARD, so I appreciate your encouragement!
